Meet Artist, Debra Bryant, Cover design, and Artist for Sword of the Wild Rose.

Debra Bryant is a native of Kentucky, currently residing in Plant City, Florida. Oils are her preferred medium, but she also works with acrylics, pastel, colored pencil, watercolor, and charcoal. Extensive master classes from nationally known portrait artist, Frank Covino, have been the driving influence of her work.

I paint because I love the creative process – the road to discovery from inspiration through signature. As frustrating as the process can sometimes be, it is far outweighed by the achievement of a satisfying painting. In my current work, I am always exploring color, challenging pre-conceived notions, and attempting to put a piece of “me” in every painting. Realistic rendering sometimes suits my purpose, but I also love the freedom that a more impressionistic approach gives.

Book Reviews

««««« Amazing Story!  Feb 19, 2009
This book is even better than the first one! I started reading it one evening and finished it the next morning! It was really exciting and it kept me on the edge of my seat! Although I really enjoyed the first book, I thought this one was really gripping. You must read it if you want to know what happens with Elizabeth and the doctor!

««««« A Great Wild Rose Series  Feb 16, 2008
This book was a great sequel to the Wild Rose of Lancaster. The characters conflicts were more dynamic and I found this book more exciting than the first! Reading this book made me feel satisfied but at the same time wanting more. Romantic, entertaining and thought provoking. I can't wait to read the next one!

««««« As Good As The First  Oct 31, 2007
I read this book as soon as I completed "Wild Rose of Lancaster", and I was so happy I had purchased both books at one time and could do so. When I finished book one, I was not ready to leave the characters that Mrs. Ellinger had created. This sequel was everything the first book was, and more. The story picks up where the first book left off, and I was once again drawn into the lives of these families I had grown to love. In fact, I read this book in one day -- I simply could not put it down. If you love great fiction that will have you closing the book with a smile, you can't do better than Mrs. Ellinger's "Wild Rose" series. I can't wait for her next book.

««««« Wild Rose of Promise  Oct 29, 2007
I just finished reading this book and it is as good as the first (The Wild Rose of Lancaster). Ruth Ellinger writes with such ease and grace!

I can't wait for the next book about this family!

««««« Absolute Fantastic Read!!, February 16, 2009
Picked up this Book and could not put it down!! The writer seems to place you into the book. I was instantly hooked from the start of the journey of this superb written historical read. The talent this writer has to place you into another place in time is a rare find in today's novels. It is intense, emotional, and rewarding. I can’t wait to find out what happens in book 2.

««««« Couldn’t put it down! July 2009
I finished reading both of your books yesterday. I almost read straight for 2 days---day and night to finish them.  I could not put them down.

They are unbelievable! What a marvelous gift of writing you have. Unbelievable!

I look forward to reading your next book.
